Hydraulic Die Press

AccuFab was contracted to design and build a hydraulic die press to make the task of separating dies used in large punch presses easier, safer and more ergonomically efficient.  What we came up with was a surprisingly simple machine that accomplished the task in just a few simple steps.  The trick was being able to flip the dies over without the millright having to pick the die up utilizing his/her own strength.  As with any machined part the die pins left no room for error and locating the dies correctly each time was a must.  We were able to meet this requirement and the customer has been very happy with this safe and time saving machine.
